The opening ceremony of the second stage of the republican competition “Фурӯғи субҳи доноӣ китоб аст ” was solemnly held in the city of Bokhtar. The competition, which annually increases the number of literature and book enthusiasts, serves as an effective platform for discovering and promoting young talents while strengthening the culture of reading among youth.
The event took place in a cultural and educational atmosphere with the participation of representatives of the local executive authority of Bokhtar, officials from the education sector, members of the competition commission, teachers, students, parents, and admirers of literature.Participants demonstrated strong preparation, literary knowledge, and public speaking skills.
Excerpts from the works of classical and contemporary Tajik writers were recited on stage, attracting considerable attention from the audience.Officials emphasized that the republican competition is among the country’s most significant cultural and educational initiatives, aimed at improving educational standards, strengthening reading culture, reviving literary traditions, and identifying gifted youth. It was noted that modern society requires educated, knowledgeable, and broad-minded young people, while books remain one of the most important means of achieving these objectives.
According to organizers, 9,531 participants took part in the first stage of the competition, with 429 contestants advancing to the city level. This figure reflects the growing interest of students and young people in reading and literary development.Winners of the city stage will advance to the regional level and represent Bokhtar in the next phase of the competition.
The second stage is being held at Secondary School No. 7 in Bokhtar and will continue until the end of the week, after which the winners will be determined.
