A political, educational and cultural gathering entitled “The Role of Independence in Preserving National Values and Strengthening Civic Identity” was held in the Dusti district in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As part of the cultural programme, an exhibition of traditional folk crafts was organized, highlighting an important component of the cultural heritage of the Tajik people. Visitors and participants were presented with traditional sewing and tailoring, wood carving, blacksmithing and other forms of handicraft.
The exhibition featured handmade national clothing, wooden works and metal products created by local artisans. Each piece demonstrated a high level of craftsmanship and reflected the aesthetic traditions, artistic skills and cultural heritage of the Tajik people.
Such events play an important role in promoting and preserving traditional crafts, supporting artisans and encouraging young people to study the cultural heritage of their ancestors. As a bridge between generations, folk crafts contribute significantly to the preservation of national values and the promotion of Tajik culture.
The event was held within the framework of the planned activities of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and was organized on the initiative of the Agency for State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Executive Committee of the National Unity and Revival Movement of Tajikistan, and the Executive Body of State Power of the Dusti District. Representatives of relevant institutions, community activists and a broad range of local residents took part in the gathering.
It was emphasized that State Independence has provided the people of Tajikistan with the opportunity to independently determine the country’s development path and strengthen the foundations of national statehood. In this context, safeguarding peace and stability, strengthening national unity, respecting the law and contributing to the country’s development were identified as important civic responsibilities.
The participants noted that during the years of independence, Tajikistan has achieved significant progress in various areas of economic and social development. The construction of major state and social facilities, infrastructure development, improved living conditions and the expansion of development and beautification initiatives were highlighted among the key achievements of the independence period.
