“State Independence — A Source of National Pride”: Republican Conference Marks Tajikistan’s 35th Anniversary of Independence

Today, at the initiative of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a republican conference entitled “State Independence — A Source of National Pride” was held at the Odina Hoshim Music School in Dushanbe, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Prior to the opening of the event, participants were presented with an exhibition of handicrafts created by artisans from across the country, as well as a display of valuable books by the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation.

The event opened with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan. The conference was inaugurated by Bunafsha Fayziddinzoda, Chairperson of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of the Committee for Primary and Secondary Vocational Education under the Government, the Center for Islamic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, poets and writers, members of the country’s intellectual community, and active women representing relevant ministries and committees.

The conference highlighted that state independence is the greatest and most sacred achievement in the modern history of the Tajik people. Independence embodies the country’s sovereignty, national unity and the freedom of its citizens, while providing a solid foundation for Tajikistan’s comprehensive development.

It was emphasized that over 35 years of state independence, the Republic of Tajikistan, under the wise leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, has achieved significant progress in the political, economic, social and cultural spheres.

As a full-fledged member of the international community, Tajikistan continues to strengthen its position globally and makes a significant contribution to addressing global challenges, particularly those related to water resources and climate change.
