Within the framework of the International forum for Cooperation for Sustainable Development titled “Green. Digital. Smart”, an international master class entitled “Modern Trends in Tourism Journalism” was held at the initiative of the State Institution “Republican Center for Advanced Training of Tourism and Service Sector Employees” and the State Institution “International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan”.
The event brought together representatives of mass media, bloggers, tourism experts, and international specialists, who exchanged views on new trends in the development of tourism journalism, the use of digital technologies, the creation of engaging content, and the promotion of the country’s tourism potential.
During the discussions, it was emphasized that tourism journalism today is no longer limited to providing general information, but has become an important tool for promoting the country’s culture, nature, and historical heritage. In this regard, digital platforms, social media, short-form videos, and professional photography play a key role in attracting audiences and effectively presenting tourism opportunities.
Participants also shared advanced experience in preparing modern reports, using storytelling techniques, and applying methods to expand audience engagement. Special attention was paid to improving the professional skills of journalists, adhering to international standards of professional ethics, and providing accurate and compelling information.
It was stressed that the proper presentation of Tajikistan’s tourism opportunities can contribute to attracting more foreign tourists, developing the tourism industry, and strengthening the national economy.
