An unscheduled exercise on organizing and conducting measures for the prevention and response to emergencies was held in Shohmansur District.
The event was attended by representatives of executive authorities, emergency services officials, and other relevant institutions. Its main objective was to enhance the readiness of services to respond effectively to emergency situations.
As part of the exercise, cleaning works of canals and drainage systems were carried out in the neighborhoods of Mugulon, Sabzikor, Guliston, and Halqachar. With the involvement of relevant personnel and local residents, more than 3,000 meters of canals and drainage systems were cleared of silt, household waste, and other obstructions.
The key goal of such initiatives is to prevent flood risks, improve institutional preparedness, and engage the population in environmental protection and community improvement activities. The works were carried out using specialized equipment while strictly observing safety standards.
According to officials, timely cleaning of canals helps reduce the risk of emergencies during periods of heavy rainfall and snowmelt.
Furthermore, improved canal conditions ensure irrigation for hundreds of hectares of agricultural land, contributing to increased crop productivity. Similar measures will be gradually implemented in other neighborhoods of the district.
