A working group meeting chaired by the deputy prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Kokhi Rudaki hall in Khujand, where issues related to preventing power losses and improper use of electricity in the first quarter of 2026 were reviewed.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that only well-organized work, continuous monitoring, and close cooperation with relevant authorities can contribute to reducing electricity losses, identifying violations, and ensuring the proper use of electricity. It was noted that as a result of joint efforts by power distribution networks and prosecution authorities, payment collection indicators improved in the first quarter of the current year, and positive progress has been observed in a number of cities and districts.
In particular, the city of Khujand holds a leading position nationwide in reducing electricity losses and improving payment collection. At the conclusion of the meeting, specific instructions were given to the heads of cities and districts where shortcomings still remain, aimed at eliminating existing problems, identifying cases of illegal electricity use, and strengthening control measures.
