Tourists and residents of Tajikistan’s major cities can now stay connected while walking through parks and public spaces, checking messages, sharing photos, or watching videos without paying for mobile internet traffic. MegaFon Tajikistan’s GreenWi-Fi network is currently operating in public recreation areas across Dushanbe, Bokhtar, Kulob, and Khorog, with the project continuing to expand to additional locations.
In Dushanbe, the service is available in the parks named after Sadriddin Ayni, Abulqasim Firdavsi, Abuabdullo Rudaki, Ahmad Donish, Cyrus the Great, and Youth Park, as well as in the arrivals hall of Dushanbe International Airport and along 100 Rudaki Avenue, with coverage extending toward Istiqlol Park. In Bokhtar, Kulob, and Khorog, GreenWi-Fi is accessible in central parks and other popular leisure areas. Free internet access is available for a limited period of up to 30 minutes, while users requiring longer connectivity can activate paid packages based on their preferred data volume.

“We are developing GreenWi-Fi not merely as a convenient service for everyday use. The presence of Wi-Fi in public spaces, favourite leisure areas, and near major attractions helps create a positive image of our country. Both tourists and local residents can freely access digital services and share memorable moments from their walks,” said Oleg Grebenkov, Head of Sales and Service for Fixed Wireless Broadband at MegaFon Tajikistan.
