Vocational Education — A Foundation for Sustainable Employment and Economic Growth

Providing citizens with access to vocational education and professional skills training is considered one of the key factors in achieving sustainable economic development and improving social welfare. In this regard, vocational and technical educational institutions, as well as training centers under the Committee for Primary and Secondary Vocational Education under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, play an important role.

Today, individuals who possess professional qualifications and practical skills are more competitive and successful in the labor market. The Leader of the Nation and President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, has repeatedly emphasized in his speeches the importance of acquiring modern knowledge and vocational skills, describing employment promotion as one of the priority directions of national development.

To encourage citizens to acquire professions and practical skills, vocational institutions have established various training courses, attracting a large number of participants. In particular, at the Vocational and Technical Lyceum of Jabbor Rasulov District, more than 400 students are currently studying in eight different vocational and traditional craft specialties under favorable educational conditions.

The lyceum offers short-term courses in existing specialties and traditional crafts, including quilt-making, embroidery, tailoring of traditional caps and garments, decorative needlework, weaving, atlas and adras fabric production, metalwork, and the crafting of musical instruments. A significant number of women and girls are actively involved in these programs.

To ensure high-quality education and training, classrooms and workshops are equipped with modern teaching materials and necessary technical equipment. Students of the institution actively participate in republican competitions and have advanced to subsequent stages of national contests.
