On August 26, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, during his working trip to the cities and districts of Khatlon Province in Yovon district, remotely commissioned 14 facilities of various purposes and 5 facilities of the industrial and educational sectors in Khuroson district.
First, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, officially launched the activity of the Gypsum Brick Production Plant Fayzi Gaj Limited Liability Company, whose annual capacity is 1.5 million bricks.
During the familiarization with the production process, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the plant provided 18 local residents with permanent jobs.
At the same time, in the industrial zone of Dahanai village of the district, the Agromix mineral fertilizer production plant of the Talko Chemical Limited Liability Company, which produces 12.5 thousand tons of agromix per year, was put into operation.
The Agromix production plant was built using modern equipment and involving local specialists and produces three product lines, including ammonium sulfate, dolomite, and phosphite.
Along with the launch of the enterprise, 24 people were provided with permanent jobs and good salaries in the first stage.
Another facility opened is the Yovon-Rudaki-Dushanbe route, which is 31 kilometers long and was repaired and modernized by the ambitious entrepreneur and engineer Bahriddin Jurakhonov.
During the tour of this section of the road, it was reported that this route is of republican importance and has been paved in accordance with modern requirements with a width of 8 meters.
Here, the Yovon-Vahdat-Norak road, which was completely renovated at a distance of 18 kilometers by the initiative of the patriotic entrepreneur Akbar Asadullo, was put into operation.
Also, 3 kilometers of a local road, paved in the village of Navruzgoh, Norin rural community, Yovon district, were put into operation on the same day.
The construction of this road section will contribute to the development of the district’s transport infrastructure, regular traffic throughout the year, improved communication with other cities and districts, fast and safe transportation of passengers, industrial goods, and reduced transportation costs.
As part of the worthy celebration of the historical 35th anniversary of state independence, 70 kilometers of roads have been paved in the Yovon district, and another 30 kilometers are planned to be built in the future.
The next facility was a new building of educational institution No. 84, which was opened on the same day.
This building consists of two floors and 16 classrooms, and this year 800 students in two shifts will start the new academic year in it. Currently, this institution has 4 offices and 18 workplaces. With the construction of this building, students will no longer have to travel 3-5 kilometers to continue their education at their village school.
The additional two-story building of educational institution No. 3 located in the village of Hinddara in the Obshoron district is another educational facility that was put into operation virtually.
The newly built facility consists of 16 classrooms and 9 offices and is designed to accommodate 800 students in two shifts.
This building was built with the contributions of local entrepreneurs. The main building of the institution was built in 1972 and over the years needed major repairs. With the start of a new school year, 32 teachers will teach more than 800 students here.
At the same time, the next facility which was put into operation was an additional two-story building near educational institution No. 69 named after Asadullo Ghulom located in the village of Taghoyobod, Obshoron district.
The building consists of 17 classrooms and 8 workrooms, designed for 800 students in two shifts.
The new facility was built with the contributions of businessman Akbar Asadullo and local residents. With the construction of this building, 34 teachers have gained permanent jobs.
An additional two-story building near educational institution No. 27 in the village of Kalfi Sabad, Sitorai Surkh rural community, opened its doors to students on the same day.
This educational institution has 400 seats for students in two shifts, has 8 classrooms and 3 workrooms. Here, too, 44 teachers are engaged in the education and upbringing of the younger generation.
Thus, within the framework of the next working visit of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, to the Yovon district and the continuation of development measures in honor of the worthy celebration of the 35th anniversary of state independence, 66 classrooms were put into operation at 4 educational institutions to accommodate 3,300 students in two shifts. Also, construction work is underway in 23 other educational institutions, consisting of 283 classrooms and designed for 14,150 students in two shifts.
Currently, more than 64 small and large industrial enterprises operate in Yovon district, creating 2,800 permanent jobs. The contribution of these enterprises to the gross domestic product in 2025 will be 43.1 percent, and they will produce 75 import-substituting products.
In the first half of 2026, the industrial enterprises of the district produced products worth 934 million 369 thousand somoni.
At the same time, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, commissioned a cold storage facility with a capacity of 1,600 tons of products for long-term storage of the produce of farmers in Khuroson district.
This cold storage facility was built on the lands of the Asadullo farm, and consists of two sections and 16 storage rooms, each of which has a storage capacity of up to 100 tons.
As the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed, this farm has 16 thousand hectares of land at its disposal, 1027 hectares of which are covered by high-quality fruit trees and a vineyard.
The enterprise for the production of boxes and packaging of dried fruits of the Tajik Fruit Agrologistic Center Limited Liability Company also began operating on the same day.
This enterprise produces more than 2800 boxes per day and 1 million 8 thousand boxes for packaging of dried fruits per year.
20 local specialists have been provided with permanent jobs at this enterprise.
The next building to be opened was educational institution No. 20 in the village of Bandar, Surkhqal’a rural community, which is designed to accommodate 624 students in two shifts.
This educational institution consists of two floors and 13 spacious classrooms. During the construction of the new building, 20 local specialists were hired.
The additional building of educational institution No. 35, built in the village of Ayonchashma, Fakhrobod rural community, was also put into operation.
This building consists of two floors and 16 classrooms, has 384 seats, and is designed for 768 students in two shifts.
This facility was built by generous entrepreneurs and patriotic residents. After the opening of the additional educational building, the shortage of classrooms and seats was completely eliminated.
Educational institution No. 36 in the village of Bahoriston, Fakhrobod rural community, was the third educational facility that was put into operation on an intermittent basis.
The new additional building of the institution has 11 spacious classrooms and is designed for 528 students in two shifts.
This educational institution was built by local residents and entrepreneurs.
In the continuation of the construction activities dedicated to the 35th anniversary of state independence in Khuroson district, 269 facilities of various purposes have been planned, and 248 of them have been put into operation so far.
Of the total number of commemorative facilities, 23 educational and preschool institutions and 25 industrial enterprises have been put into operation, as a result of which more than 650 jobs have been created.
After getting acquainted with the activities of a number of facilities of various purposes, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the rapid progress of construction and improvement works and gave instructions and recommendations for further creation of jobs, improvement of the quality of education and upbringing of the younger generation, and provision of decent conditions for residents.
