A new season of the city sightseeing service “Red Bus Tours” has officially started in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. The initiative is implemented with the support of the Dushanbe City Executive Authority in cooperation with the tourism companies “King Tour” and “Somon Travel” and aims to promote tourism development and showcase the cultural and historical attractions of the capital.
The opening ceremony began near the Sadriddin Ayni State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, where double-decker sightseeing buses departed on a new city tour route carrying residents and visitors of the capital. To mark the opening of the season, tours on the first day were offered free of charge to participants.
During the excursion, participants visited major cultural, historical, administrative, and tourist landmarks of Dushanbe and became acquainted with the city’s modern appearance and achievements gained during the years of independence. Tour guides provided information in Tajik, Russian, and English about the city’s history, tourism opportunities, and Dushanbe’s role as a venue for important international events.
The tour program also featured cultural and entertainment activities, allowing guests to experience the rich traditions and cultural heritage of the Tajik people.
It is worth noting that the “Red Bus Tours” project, launched in 2024, has become one of the capital’s most attractive tourism products and plays an important role in promoting Tajikistan’s tourism potential while attracting both domestic and international visitors.
