The Republican Contest “Best Housewife” Was Held with Special Grandeur in Shamsiddin Shohin District

The Republican contest “Best Housewife” was held with special grandeur in the courtyard of the Palace of Culture of Shamsiddin Shohin District, where skilled housewives from the rural jamoats of the district showcased their talents.
In accordance with the competition requirements, colorful festive table settings were arranged, featuring various types of national dishes, tandoor bread, local salads, and traditional foods characteristic of Shamsiddin Shohin District.
Each participant made every effort to demonstrate, in line with the competition criteria, the fine details of table decoration and the methods of preparing healthy and nutritious food.
The contest included several nominations, such as preparing national dishes and foods typical of the Kulob region, presenting different types of bread and bakery products, decorating breakfast and festive tables, and introducing the history of traditional foods. In each of these categories, the participants displayed their skills and creativity.
The participation of eloquent children dressed in beautiful national costumes, including atlas, adras, and colorful chakan garments, added a special charm and vibrancy to the event. Their presence once again demonstrated that the upbringing of national self-awareness, patriotism, and the teaching of traditional crafts in Shamsiddin Shohin District begins from an early age. The event was made even more colorful by an engaging cultural program. Artists from the district’s Department of Culture delighted participants and guests with beautiful songs, heartfelt musical performances, and graceful dances, creating a festive and memorable atmosphere.
This combination of household artistry and national cultural expression became a vivid symbol of respect for the rich traditions of the ancestors.
In the final part of the event, the jury evaluated the participants’ skills and selected the best performers. In a solemn ceremony, the winners and active participants of the contest were awarded valuable gifts and Certificates of Appreciation from the Executive Body of State Power of Shamsiddin Shohin District.
This event once again demonstrated that the women of Shamsiddin Shohin District make a valuable contribution not only to household management, but also to the preservation and promotion of national culture.
