Preparations for the event were reviewed during a meeting of the Organizing Committee held in Dushanbe and chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the country and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Sulaymon Ziyozoda.
It was noted that the 45th Meeting of the Board of the Green Climate Fund is a prestigious international event that will bring together representatives of the Fund’s member countries, international organizations, financial institutions, and climate experts. The meeting is expected to address key issues related to climate finance, the implementation of sustainable development projects, and the strengthening of international cooperation in combating climate change.
It should be emphasized that hosting the 45th Meeting of the Board of the Green Climate Fund in Tajikistan is regarded as a reflection of the international community’s high level of confidence in the Republic of Tajikistan’s global initiatives in environmental protection and the advancement of the international climate agenda. The event will also create favorable conditions for expanding cooperation with development partners and attracting green investments.
It is worth recalling that Tajikistan is internationally recognized as one of the leading countries in promoting the water and climate agenda and glacier protection issues, while its initiatives consistently receive broad support from the global community.
