Scientific Conference Honoring National Heroes Held at Kulob State University

A scientific and educational conference entitled “Honoring the Memory of National Heroes and Strengthening Tajik National Identity in Light of the Leader of the Nation’s Policy” was held at the Kulob State University named after Abuabdulloh Rudaki with the participation of teachers, scholars, researchers, and students.

The event began with a documentary film about the lives, political activities, and contributions of distinguished national figures — Nusratullo Makhsum, Shirinsho Shotemur, and Nisor Muhammad. The film highlighted their lasting contributions to the formation of national statehood and the preservation of Tajik cultural and spiritual values. During speeches and presentations, participants emphasized that certain events in the history of nations remain significant not only as political developments but also as symbols of historical justice, national revival, and spiritual awakening. It was noted that the initiative of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, to return to the homeland a handful of soil from the burial places of these distinguished national figures represents a historic and meaningful event. Participants discussed various topics related to historical justice and the role of national heroes in strengthening Tajik statehood, emphasizing that preserving the memory and studying the contributions of these outstanding personalities serve as an important example for present and future generations. It was stressed that such initiatives contribute to strengthening patriotism, national identity, historical awareness, and respect for national values, particularly among young people.
