Enhancing Vocational Training and Employment in Bobojon Ghafurov District

As part of the implementation of state policy aimed at increasing employment and promoting vocational skills, the Agency for Labor and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan has undertaken significant measures in Bobojon Ghafurov District.

According to official data, in the first quarter of 2026, the district department organized 7 job fairs, resulting in 117 people being employed and 370 individuals enrolled in vocational training programs.

In line with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Promoting Employment of the Population,” citizens’ applications regarding employment and vocational training were addressed, and necessary measures were taken. During this period, 1,337 citizens applied, of whom 637 were provided with permanent, seasonal, or temporary jobs. Additionally, 370 individuals were trained in professions such as operator, tailor, carpet weaver, confectioner-cook, adras weaver, and embroiderer.

According to Firooz Iskandarov, Head of the District Labor and Employment Department, an Adult Training Center operates in the district, offering short-term courses in more than 20 professions.

Upon completion, trainees receive qualification certificates, enabling them to start professional activities. Many graduates successfully launch independent careers and improve their living standards.
