A scientific conference dedicated to the historical and cultural significance of Abulqasim Ferdowsi’s masterpiece, the Shahnameh, brought together the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Unity and Revival Movement of Tajikistan, a senior adviser to the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Social Development and Public Relations, as well as poets, writers, scholars, and experts.
Participants emphasized that the Shahnameh is not only a monumental work of Persian-Tajik literature but also a vital source of spiritual, cultural, and moral values for present and future generations. Particular attention was paid to the epic’s role in preserving the Persian-Tajik language, strengthening national identity, fostering patriotism, and promoting universal human values.
The educational significance of the work in shaping the moral outlook of young people was also discussed. Researchers and scholars presented proposals aimed at expanding Shahnameh studies, promoting the literary heritage of ancestors, and strengthening scientific cooperation among countries sharing common linguistic and cultural traditions.
The conference concluded with the recognition that such academic gatherings play an important role in promoting the cultural values of Aryan peoples, enhancing international scholarly cooperation, and educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and national self-awareness.
