An award ceremony for the winners of the republican festival-competition “One Fabric, One Hundred Colors,” along with an exhibition and sale of traditional embroidery and gold-thread handicrafts, was held at the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Sadriddin Ayni.
The festival was organized on the initiative of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the country, as well as representatives of relevant ministries and agencies.
During the event, it was emphasized that such festivals play an important role in preserving and promoting the authentic values of national culture, popularizing traditional clothing, developing folk crafts, and enhancing the status of local designers and artisans. The initiative also contributes to preventing blind imitation of foreign cultures and strengthening national identity.
Participants competed in various categories, including displays of traditional regional clothing, everyday and ceremonial attire, official garments, the best national dresses made from atlas and adras fabrics, as well as different styles of embroidery and gold-thread craftsmanship.
The cultural program, featuring traditional songs, dances, and national music performances, added a vibrant festive atmosphere to the event.
The “One Fabric, One Hundred Colors” festival-competition once again demonstrated that Tajik national culture is distinguished by its richness, beauty, and unique values, and that preserving and developing this heritage is the responsibility of every citizen.
At the conclusion of the event, winners in various nominations were awarded certificates of honor and commemorative gifts.
