 Navruz of Khatlon

At the initiative of the Executive Body of the State Power of the city of Bokhtar, together with the Executive Body of the regional Power, a grand cultural event was held on the square “70th anniversary of the Vakhsh Valley” – the administrative center of the Khatlon region, on the occasion of the international holiday of Navruz, in which a special place was occupied by the exhibition of folk crafts. This event was held with the aim of reviving national traditions, promoting the culture of our ancestors and presenting the talents of local craftsmen.

During the exhibition, residents and guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with various examples of folk crafts such as embroidery, embroidery, carpet weaving, carving, jewelry and pottery.

The craftsmen presented their handmade products with high skill and special taste, telling about the process and nuances of their creation. This exhibition was not only a cultural event, but also a living school for learning crafts for young people.

Special corners of national cuisine were also organized, where guests enjoyed traditional Tajik dishes.

A magnificent carnival show was held on the occasion of the Navruz holiday at the Shah Ismail Somoni Square, which became one of the most interesting cultural events of the day. This event was organized with the aim of raising the festive spirit, presenting national culture, and creating an entertaining atmosphere for residents and guests of the region.

During the show, various art groups participated in colorful and traditional costumes and presented interesting and spectacular scenes. The carnival took on a new color with national songs and dances, humorous scenes, and creative performances, attracting the attention of those present. Each group tried to make the festive atmosphere even more joyful by demonstrating its art and talent.

In particular, the participants, using elements of folk culture and ancient Tajik traditions, staged symbolic scenes from rural life, spring ceremonies, and national customs. These programs allowed the audience to once again pay tribute to their cultural values and enjoy their beauty.

Also, special entertainment programs, games, and interesting performances were organized for children and adolescents. This initiative made the event memorable not only for adults, but also for the entire population.

Officials noted that such carnival performances within the framework of the celebration of Navruz contribute to the development of mass culture, strengthening national unity, and attracting tourists. They emphasized that national holidays should be celebrated with such colorful and interesting programs so that cultural values are passed on to future generations.

Overall, the carnival performance at Shah Ismail Somoni Square turned into a true celebration of joy and celebration, once again demonstrating that Nowruz is a unifying holiday and a symbol of the revival of nature and national culture.
