As part of the Nowruz festivities, on the morning of March 21, officials and residents of four districts of the capital celebrated the beginning of the international Nowruz holiday with special pomp and splendor at Nowruz venues by holding cultural and entertainment events, taking into account folk customs and traditions.
National rituals and ceremonies, including cooking the national dish of sumanak, lighting a festive bonfire, and holding other traditions, gave the international Nowruz holiday even more pomp and splendor.
Along with residents, guests of the capital, who came to Tajikistan specifically to participate in the festivities of the international Nowruz holiday, expressed their pleasure at the high level of welcoming the Nowruz holiday.
On this morning, when the atmosphere of the Victory Park in the capital had the aroma of a glorious Nowruz, the joy and happiness of the participants in this event knew no bounds. Everyone was dancing and celebrating the arrival of a glorious Nowruz.

After lighting a festive bonfire and observing other traditions of the Navruz holiday, the Navruz caravan, with the participation of Baba Dehkan and the Spring Queen, walked the streets of the capital to bring the good news of the coming of the ancestral New Year to residents and guests with the joyful slogans “Don’t say you haven’t heard, Navruz has come! Navruz has come to its homeland again!”
