The district stage of the national “Shahnama Recitation” competition was held in Khurason District with the participation of a large number of school students.
During the event, it was emphasized that the competition aims to honor the rich heritage of Abulqasim Ferdowsi, promote in-depth study of the nation’s history, and strengthen national identity and patriotism. It was noted that the epic Shahnameh serves as a vital source of moral and cultural education for the younger generation.
At the initiative of Emomali Rahmon, the book was distributed to every household in 2025, contributing to the promotion of reading culture and literary awareness.
According to the district education authorities, 400 participants took part in the competition, including 270 girls, reflecting growing youth interest in classical literature and national heritage.
The main objectives of the competition include preserving literary heritage, strengthening national identity, enhancing historical awareness, and fostering patriotism among young people.
