On June 23, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Rustami Emomali, also laid the foundation stone for the construction of another cement plant in the northern part of Kharangon village, Varzob District.
During the presentation of the project for the construction of the plant, it was reported that Tajik Cement Limited Liability Company, based on the instructions and directives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, has decided to construct and commission a new production facility on an area of 16 hectares within 17 months.
The production capacity of the plant under construction will be 1.2 million tons of cement per year.
During the construction phase, more than 1,100 local residents and foreign specialists will be engaged in seasonal work, and after the plant is commissioned, more than 1,000 new jobs will be created for citizens.
The plant is also planned to be built near the nearby deposits of limestone, magnetite, and Kharangon clay, while the construction work, import of machinery, technology, equipment, and other necessary supplies will be carried out entirely with the involvement of domestic capital.
All production equipment and machinery will be modern, and environmental regulations and environmental safety requirements will be observed throughout the production process.
The investor and developer of the second enterprise is Tajik Cement Limited Liability Company.
It should be noted that both cement plants are being built in accordance with modern environmental requirements and will not have a negative impact on the environment.
After familiarizing himself with the projects and launching construction work on the two large cement production plants, the Head of State, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, expressed gratitude to domestic entrepreneurs for supporting the constructive policies of the Government of the country and instructed them to ensure the high-quality implementation of the work.
