Bokhtar Marks Independence Anniversary Preparations with Large-Scale Environmental Campaigns

The city of Bokhtar continues extensive beautification and environmental improvement efforts in preparation for the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

As part of these activities, the city’s Environmental Protection Department and the local executive authority organized a series of environmental campaigns titled “Clean Neighborhood,” “Clean Highway,” and “Clean Riverbank.”

Residents, employees of various institutions, young people, and volunteers actively participated in the campaigns, helping clean streets, avenues, residential areas, public facilities, roads, and the banks of canals and drainage channels.

During the initiative, household waste and other debris were collected and transported to designated disposal sites. Participants also removed overgrown vegetation, maintained ornamental trees and shrubs, and carried out painting, whitewashing, and landscaping works in several locations.

According to organizers, the primary objective of these campaigns is not only to improve cleanliness but also to raise environmental awareness, promote civic responsibility, and encourage broader public participation in environmental protection.

The city administration noted that environmental and beautification activities will continue as part of preparations for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence, contributing to a cleaner, greener, and more attractive urban environment.
