THE 5TH INTERNATIONAL FORUM “DUSHANBE NAVRUZ – CENTER OF CULTURAL AND TOURISM RELATIONS”

        In honor of the international holiday of Navruz, the 5th International Forum “Dushanbe Navruz – Center of Cultural and Tourism Relations” was held with the support of the government. Foreign guests and tourists, representatives of international organizations, and the diplomatic corps participated in the event.

This year, the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the capital hosted the official portion of this major tourism forum. Before the forum, participants were treated to an exhibition of paintings dedicated to the Navruz holiday and the country’s tourism potential, while various handicrafts were on display elsewhere.

During the official portion of the forum, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan (female) spoke, noting that today, Dushanbe, as the center of the global Navruz holiday, welcomes guests in festive attire, and that holding such international forums helps strengthen cultural and tourism ties and promote Tajik national values. It was noted that in recent years, thanks to the wise policies of state and government leadership, the capital has entered a new stage of development and prosperity, becoming one of the most attractive tourist destinations thanks to the construction of modern infrastructure, cultural centers, parks, and promenades, as well as the creation of favorable conditions for tourists.

Continuing the forum, other speakers noted that Tajikistan’s international initiatives, including the globalization of the Navruz holiday and the proposal to establish an International Navruz Center, are of great importance for preserving and promoting the cultural values ​​of our ancestors. This forum serves as an important platform for dialogue between countries in the Navruz basin, promoting the expansion of friendly relations, the exchange of experiences, and attracting tourists to Tajikistan. It was believed that the forum’s results will contribute to strengthening cultural and tourism ties, attracting more tourists to Dushanbe, and promoting Tajikistan’s tourism potential on the international stage. Forum participants also discussed the following topics: “Navruz – the Heir to National Traditions,” “From Folk Rituals to Tourism Development,” “Globalization of the International Celebration of Navruz,” “From the History of International Navruz,” “Emomali Rahmon as a Renaissance Man: Ancient Navruz,” “The Role of Developing Modern Tourism Infrastructure in the Capital in Tajikistan’s Economic Development,” “Navruz – a Holiday of Friendship and Camaraderie,” and “Navruz as a Factor in the Development of Cultural and Tourism Ties.” In conclusion, the Declaration of the 5th International Forum “Navruz Dushanbe – the Axis of Cultural and Tourism Ties” was adopted.
