A scientific and literary conference entitled “Tajikistan is the homeland of Navruz!” was held at the Central Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan with the organization of a cultural program on the decoration of the Navruz khan. Representatives of the party’s executive committees in the city of Dushanbe and its districts added a special charm to the event by organizing separate corners embodying Navruz traditions and folk crafts.
The guests saw a display of a festive table full of delicacies and other achievements of the capital’s party members, and highly appreciated their level of preparation for the international Navruz.
Then, the First Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan, Husni, opened the scientific and literary conference and stated that, thanks to the efforts of the beloved Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the proposal of the Republic of Tajikistan and the assistance of the countries of the Nowruz circle, February 19, 2010, at the 64th session, was declared by the United Nations General Assembly as the International Day of Nowruz and is celebrated with great pomp and glory throughout the world.
