Agency for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage Reviews First-Half 2026 Performance

The Agency for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan held a press conference to present the results of its activities for the first half of 2026. The event was attended by journalists, scholars, experts, and representatives of relevant institutions.

During the press conference, the Agency’s leadership highlighted the work carried out in the protection, research, restoration, and sustainable use of the country’s historical and cultural heritage. It was noted that archaeological excavations continued at several historical sites, leading to the discovery of valuable cultural artefacts.

The Agency also reported progress in the restoration of historical and architectural monuments, the modernization of museum activities, the digitization of cultural heritage, and the expansion of cooperation with international organizations. The event concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which the Agency outlined its priorities and future plans through the end of 2026.
