A solemn gathering dedicated to Mother’s Day was held in the Olim Boboev Cultural Center of the city of Panjakent with the participation of women activists of the city.

It was said that now more than half of the population of Panjakent is women, 2 deputies of the regional assembly of people’s deputies, 9 deputies of the assembly of people’s deputies of Panjakent city, and in the last elections held on March 2 of this year, 45 active women were elected deputies of the assemblies of town and rural communities.

It was stated that women and mothers will continue to make a significant contribution to the worthy education and upbringing of children, strengthening their sense of patriotism, preserving the national language and culture, family stability, promoting national values, including national clothing and preventing xenophobia, reviving and protecting national and folk crafts, and expanding construction and improvement works.

The participants of the solemn gathering were presented with an interesting artistic program that embodied the greatness, courage, love and devotion of a mother and were presented with  gifts from the local executive body of the state power of the city of Panjakent.
