The Rogun City Historical Museum provides cultural services to raise the level of education of the population of the city and villages, as well as tourists and guests, and its doors are open to visitors every day. As reported, to date, the museum preserves 1,205 rare historical artifacts and collections.
Today, along with the city’s residents visiting the museum, the number of foreign visitors and tourists is also increasing day by day. The majority of them are citizens from Italy, India, and Iran, who work at the Rogun hydroelectric power plant.
According to officials, in 2024 alone, nearly 1,200 people visited the museum, 250 of whom were tourists.
Based on the “Program for the Protection of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Tajik People for 2021-2025”, historical artifacts are continuously collected from the population of the areas and villages of the city and added to the museum’s collection.
