The Sada festival was celebrated in the center of Kulob city with the participation of representatives of the executive authority of the Khatlon region, the city administration, employees of various structures, including farmers, people of science and education, culture, teachers and students of higher educational institutions, and a wide range of local residents, observing all national elements.
Taking into account the implementation of ancient folk customs and traditions, the participants were presented with a demonstration of achievements in various fields, such as a large list of various agricultural products, samples of local handicrafts, decorating the festive dastarkhon, organizing an exhibition of agricultural machinery and mechanisms, a corner of flowers and shrubs, fruit-bearing, and decorative plants, and other scientific and cultural achievements, which reflect progress and development and the gradual improvement of the level of well-being of the people.
The high level of the celegbration of the ancient and historical Sada festival is due to the residents’ respect and tribute to important historical dates and the preservation and presentation of national traditions to future generations. Also, the products of handicrafts of the city’s artisans, prepared with high creative taste and embodying the national customs of the past with a combination of modern colors and shades, were presented to the participants at the exhibition.
It was noted that Sada, as a holiday of the Oriyonian people, in particular, one of the ancient customs of the civilized Tajik nation, was included in the list of intangible heritage of humanity in December 2023, at the direct initiative of the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon. This important cultural event was considered a source of pride for every patriotic individual of the country.
