In order to prevent the extinction of mountain birds and animals and protect them from winter frosts, officials of the State Forestry Institution of Muminobod district are constantly carrying out biotechnical work in difficult-to-reach areas and habitats of wild animals.
In recent days, when snowfall has occurred in the country, in such weather conditions, especially in the foothills of the country, it is becoming difficult for steppe animals to find food. In this context, officials in the sector have been implementing such measures since the beginning of this year’s cold season in the foothills of Muminobod district, especially in the Pahndara and Rumindara areas of the Childukhtaron rural community and other mountainous areas.
It should be noted that currently the area of the district forestry is 17,423 hectares, of which 95 hectares are orchards, 4,500 hectares are pastures, and 7,700 hectares are various forest trees. According to information, the district forestry is home to various rare animals and birds, including the eagle, wild cat, bear, wolf, deer, and other animals included in the Red Book of Tajikistan.
Every year, such collective actions are carried out by the State Forestry Institution of the district from the first days of winter, when snowfalls and cold weather begin in the foothills of the Muminobod district.
