Seven lakes-the wanders of Fun mountains

Haftkul Gorge has a group of lakes, each of them differs from the other lakes with its fantastic color. Haftkul is located at an altitude of 2139.3 meters above sea level and is also known as Marghzor. The reason of the named Marguzor is that the largest lake is called Marguzor. Its length is 4.5 km, its depth is 45 meters, and its total area is 1.16 km.

“Haftkul” flows from the North to 4 streams, each of that is up to 10 kilometers. The first lake is called “Mijgon” and it differs from other lakes with its beautiful and unusual color of water. This lake originates from the Shing river, and watching its entry into the “Mijgon”.

Mijgon has different colors, depending on the weather conditions and sunlight, it takes on purple, red, blue and other colors. The wonder of nature in this area is that, for example, Soya and Khushyar lakes are located next to each other and all lakes have the same source, but the water of Soya lake is green and the color of Khushyar lake is blue.

The fourth one, is known as Nofin, which has added a special charm to the nature of Haftkul. The fifth lake is smaller than the other lakes and its name is Khurdak. The sixth lake is Marguzor and the seventh is Hazorchashma, which is one of the favorite places for tourists.

The residents of Shing village, where these seven lakes are located in this region, have taken advantage of the large number of tourists, some of them have turned their yards into hotels and provided good conditions for tourists, who also earn a good income from this.
