At all times, the development and progress of national culture began with the wearing of Tajik national clothes. In particular, Tajik women and girls present their national culture to the world by themselves with атлас, адрас, чакан. The concept of national clothes is meant as an important pillar of national culture, that the future generations can pay tribute to them.
For this related structures, including the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Committee for women and famile affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, are conducting explanatory work to introduce the culture of wearing national clothes in enterprises and institutions. Within the framework of these measures, in order to pay tribute to the national culture, promote the national dress and, with the initiative of the Committee for women and families affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, it has been six years since has been held, the republican campaign “Тоҷикона мепушем” which aims to present and promote national dress.
Every year in the country, in order to raise respect for the cultural values of the national dress, a sense of beauty, to raise the culture and wearing in society, especially to increase the role of the national dress among children, teenagers, young people, girls, women and men, and to observe the way of dressing and for the presentation of national dress, several festivals and conferences are held, such as “Ҷилваи ранго”, “Сад ранги чакан”, “Либоси миллӣ”, which lays the foundation for the presentation of the civilization and culture of the Tajik people.
